Bush walking

The Dial Range is a small moutain range in the hinterland of Penguin, on the North West coast of Tasmania. It contains numerous walking tracks with lovely views over the surrounding area. See the tunnels that are a result of the mining in this area in the late 19th to early 20th century. Climb the various peaks that form the range, through areas of volcanic, dolerite, conglomerate and sandstone layers. Be in awe of the height of the tree ferns that border the tracks, or witness a sunrise or sunset from the summits.

The numerous walks consist of Mount Gnoman, Mount Duncan, Mount Montgomery, Thornsby Tunnel and the Tall Trees, some joining each other to make a circuit. There are tracks to suit everyones fitness level.
