Hi all, this is exciting, a new website and my first blog.

My name is Tania, and together with my husband Phillip, and my daughters Dakota and Cody, we have transformed our 50 acre farm into a unique tourism experience, combining a wilderness retreat and a farmstay, in a technology free environment.

We have built four rustic styled huts, all handmade and uniquely designed, and offer an authentic hands on farmstay experience, focusing on our pioneering days.

As a child I have memories of my grandmother milking a cow, churning the butter and feeding the chickens, and I have always had the desire to live that "simple country life.” I have always been as self sufficient as possible, with a vegetable garden, fruit trees, and  own meat and eggs, and being home on the farm has given me the opportunity of having a house cow (or 5), and now have fresh milk and cream, and all the other produce that comes from this.

Then the idea began to form that tourists and locals would embrace the experience, and enjoy participating in these activities, and so plans started to revolve around building the accommodation and sharing our lifestyle. Five years on we have completed our business venture, winning two Regional Tourism Awards, and a Silver in the Tasmanian Tourism Awards along the way, and meeting, and sharing our farm with some wonderful guests. We look forward to continuing to welcome guests to our farm, and sharing our lifestyle.
